The Lady Captain’s Day held on the 30th of July proved to be a superb event, with the ladies taking to the course amid glorious sunshine, unlike Tony Thornley, the Gents Captain, who unfortunately experienced heavy rain throughout his captain’s day!
Participants were treated to gin & tonic with ice and lemon at the birdie bar, which would have no doubt been gratefully received by all.
Chris Dixon said: “I had an absolutely wonderful day and couldn’t have asked for more, both from the weather and the members that joined in on the day. It was great to see so many of the lady members out on the course and I’d like to thank everyone that played or helped organise the day”.
The competition was won by Margaret Jobling with an exceptional 41 points, closely followed by Lotta Brewer with 40 points and 3rd Emma Wood with 39 points. Rita Broughton also won nearest the line competition on the 16th.
